The sacral chakra (second chakra) is located about two inches below the navel and two inches in. This is the energy center of our bodies that relates to our ability to feel creative, sexual and accept change. When this chakra is balanced, we feel open to the world around us, radiating energy, compassion for others, emotional stability and enthusiasm for life.
On the flip side, when this chakra is out of balance, the symptoms can be pretty rough. You may experience one, some, or all of these symptoms if your sacral chakra is out of balance:
An underactive sacral chakra can make you cold and disinterested in others while an over active sacral chakra can make you needy or emotionally dependent.

Take a slow and relaxed yoga class, focusing on hip openers.
Dance it out. Close the door, turn up the tunes and dance it out.
Orange is the healing color for the sacral chakra – wear it and take a few minutes out of your day to close your eyes and just visualize it.
Load up on oranges, papayas and mangoes! Add a little cinnamon for an extra balancing kick.
The second chakra’s element is water, so get yourself to a beach and pull up a nice lounge chair – really, what better excuse can you find for a quick trip to the coast?! If you can’t swing a trip to the beach, take a swim, bath or shower or go sit near a river or fountain.
