Power Vinyasa Yoga
Power yoga is an intense physically driven practice that challenges the practitioner. It involves a series of sun salutations, standing poses, balancing poses, abdominal strengthening and seated poses. In this vinyasa or "flow" style class, we flow from one posture to the next, matching movement to breath.​

Power 1

Accessibility: Beginner friendly
Less intense/challenging - modifications available

The instructor will:
  • slow down the pace to suit beginners' needs as needed, while still keeping the class moving
  • teach more accessible poses (foundational poses)
  • explain details/alignment in the poses more thoroughly
  • different sequence – unlike other forms of yoga there is no specific sequence of poses
  • aerobic/anaerobic exercise 
*Please note that this may vary from instructor to instructor and if there are advanced students in the room. 

Power 2
Accessibility: Experienced practitioners
More intense/challenging
 
The instructor will:
  • expect students to be familiar with the sequence and the poses
  • teach advanced poses (arm balances, inversions, challenging poses)
  • speed up the pace
  • different sequence – unlike other forms of yoga there is no specific sequence of poses
Vinyasa Flow
Accessibility: Beginner to experienced students
Modifications available
 
Vinyasa flow is a creative, flowing practice that is both focused on alignment and breathing within postures and transitions. This practice will leave you feeling both energised and focused. 
What to expect:
  • many breathing cues
  • different sequence – unlike other forms of yoga there is no specific sequence of poses
  • lots of movement
  • focus on alignment
  • intensity and style may vary depending on instructor/students
Restore
Accessibility: All students- beginner to experienced- students with injuries, pregnancy, trauma
Modifications available
 
A very slow, relaxing form of yoga that stretches the muscles and connective tissues in the body.There is far less instruction during this class and it is meant to be more meditative and restorative.
What to expect:
  • slow, deliberate movements
  • predominantly seated poses on the floor
  • longer held poses
  • may use props for poses
  • calming environment- dark room, candles, quiet music
  • hands on adjustments
Ashtanga
Accessibility: Beginner to experienced
Modifications available
 
A set sequence of yoga poses that are taught in the same order every class (called the primary series). Students will practice sun salutations, standing poses, balancing poses and seated poses. This type of yoga minimizes the focus on cardio and places a greater emphasis on proper alignment and techniques.
 
What to expect:
  • focus on alignment, technique and strengthening
  • same series each time
  • focus on breath
  • slower pace 
  • less focus on cardio
Hatha
Accessibility: Beginner to experienced
 
A slow flowing practice that is great for those who are new to yoga, elderly or rehabilitating from an injury – or maybe just need a relaxing class.  The sequence will include sun salutations, standing poses, balancing poses and seated postures, all done in a gentle fashion.
What to expect:
  • slow pace
  • lots of options for modifications
  • gentle movement
  • focus on breath
Acro-Yoga
Accessibility: Beginner to experienced
 
Want to take your practice to the next level or try something new? Acroyoga is for you! A fusion between basic acrobatic moves/stunts and yoga, this practice builds strength, confidence and trust. It involves two/three students practicing yoga poses using acrobatic techniques. It strengths the core and upper body and is a fun way to get fit!
What to expect:
  • one student supporting or holding another student up
  • students balancing on the legs and hands of other students
  • a sense of humour
Pre-Natal
Accessibility: Pregnant women only

Pre-Natal Yoga classes are designed specificially for mommies-to-be and helps keep them limber, tones muscles, and improves balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on the joints.  Pre-Natal Yoga is also beneficial because it helps pregnant women to learn to breathe deeply and relax, which will come in handy as they face the physical demands of labor, birth, and motherhood.
What to expect:
  • gentle movements
  • focus on breathing
  • lots of floor poses
Kids Yoga
Accessibility: Ages 2 - 12 years

Yoga is an excellent way to ensure that your kids are getting the mental and physical exercise they need to grow healthy and happily. In this class, kids will practice fun flowing sequences and partner and group poses. Specifically designed for the little ones, this yoga class is an excellent way to ensure kids are exercising, as well as a great way to encourage discipline and calmness through the focus of breath.
 
What to expect:
  • sun salutations
  • playful poses
  • colouring activity 
Hands-on adjustments

Please note that our instructors normally provide hands-on adjustments. If you prefer not receive hands-on adjustments, please let the instructor know ahead of time. It is your practice and your choice- so let us help you have the best yoga experience! 
Mommie & Me (post-natal)
Accessibility: New Mothers Only (typically from 6 weeks post-partum, but it’s always advisable to clear it with one's medical practitioner first)
 
Now you've had your precious little one, but how are you going to get your body back to its pre-baby state?  Yoga. With a newborn/infant, we know it's hard to find time in your day for you and to do something for your body, but it's just as important to take care of yourself as it is to take care of your baby.  But because we know it's hard to find the alone time, the Mommy & Me class is designed for you to bring your baby and continue the bonding experience through yoga while you start to find your pre-baby body again. This practice is for new mothers and babies up to 8 months old. The mommy and me practice is designed for bonding with the baby through yoga, while helping new moms get back into shape.
What to expect:
  • gentle movements
  • focus on breathing
  • lots of floor poses
Pre & Post Natal Yoga 
These classes bring together a community of women that bond over the changes in their bodies, the excitement of motherhood and also the struggles one endures during this time.  It's a community of support, beyond the physical benefits.
